On-site Tests and Functional Checks in Product Inspection
On-site tests and functional checks confirm whether a product can be used normally under basic inspection conditions. Appearance alone is not enough, because a product may look acceptable but still fail during actual use.

What Inspectors Check
Inspectors usually verify:
- basic operation and main function
- assembly and fitting of parts or accessories
- movement, stability, or response of key components
- simple safety-related conditions visible during use
- consistency of functional performance across checked samples
Why It Matters
Functional defects can lead to complaints, returns, and shipment disputes. A product with acceptable appearance may still be rejected if it cannot operate properly, fit correctly, or perform its intended function.
Common Problems Found
Common issues include products that do not power on, parts that do not fit, unstable or jammed movement, weak performance, missing accessories, and inconsistent function within the shipment.
How Findings Are Reported
The inspection report should state what tests were performed, how many samples were checked, and what problems were found. If a failure is detected, the report should clearly describe the issue and include supporting photos when needed.
